Who is Krystina Dowdell?
Krystina got her foot in the event industry working with various agencies throughout South Florida while managing a full time personal training schedule. By 2021, she was working remotely managing 5 separate event brands with the top event + media management company out of the UK.
By 2022, Krystina was traveling to host, organize, and even perform in events from Miami to Las Vegas. She built her career working with small startups to 10k employee incumbents, and brought a volume of thoughtful activations that doubled contract value for companies in the course of her time with them.
After gaining corporate experience with both IRL and virtual events, her, her partner Chris, and her black cat Obi left Miami to embark on a year long digital nomad trip. She created "Getaway With Us” to document her travels and share the realities of #workingfromanywhere.
Getaway was founded after starting 3 community retreat series that give back to locals affected by over-tourism, in an effort to create adventurous + wellness minded events that give back by supporting coaches and organizers — and working to complete Getaway’s mission of hosting 1 million free health events by 2048.
